Stefan Lesueur is a multi-disciplinary artist with a focus on public participative works. His installations activate public space to encourage communication through common elements such as light and water. A native of Salt Lake City, Stefan currently lives and works in Weimar, Germany.
Stefan’s project, Watershed Stories, will present a sound installation playing recordings of the valley’s streams and community stories about the Great Salt Lake watershed in the Seven Canyons Refuge at Liberty Park.
Workshops in April 2025 will encourage participants to engage with and reflect upon our relationship with the waters of the Salt Lake Valley and Great Salt Lake. And the resulting recordings will be incorporated into the final installation in the fall of 2025.
Our partnerships create a robust network, bringing together local organizations and leaders dedicated to using the arts as a catalyst for environmental awareness and action to preserve the Great Salt Lake.
